Jeff Smith

Jeff Smith is an accomplished multifaceted senior human resources executive with over 25 years of demonstrated experience and success.  Jeff achieves and exceeds organizational financial objectives by enabling and motivating large multi-level teams to highly engage in the vision, mission, and purpose of the business.  Jeff’s industry expertise spans transportation, logistics, world-class manufacturing of capital products, goods, and services along with significant expertise in the food and beverage industry in both union and non-union environments. 

Jeff has led organizations with employee sizes from 300 to 130,000 and revenue from $20 million to over $25 billion.  While the majority of Jeff’s career has been in human resources, from generalist to senior vice president, Jeff has taken on cross-functional assignments throughout his career in operations, safety, sales, product development and supply chain management.  Throughout Jeff’s career, he has developed a unique ability to align and connect people strategies to business strategies.  This has leveraged his ability to deploy innovative transformational programs to achieve strategic business objectives.  These initiatives have resulted in redefining entire HR organizations, significantly improving talent management processes, competitive compensation and rewards programs along with supporting HRIS systems to create a performance-based culture that enhances and optimizes employee and stakeholder experience.

Jeff is a military veteran who served over 15 years in the US Army.  Jeff served as a member of the 5th Special Forces Group and later in his military career as an Army Aviator in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and his MBA from the University of Iowa. Jeff also serves on the Advisory Board for Team Rubicon.
